Fill the cup of the aroma lamp with warm water, then add a few drops of essential oil or create a blend of essential oils. The classic aroma lamp works by using an open flame. Most often, this involves a paraffin candle encased in a metal frame. The construction of a candle-based aroma lamp consists of two parts: a base to hold the candle and an upper part directly above the candle, shaped like a small bowl for water and oil. The flame from the candle heats the water, causing the added essential oils to evaporate. This gentle heating releases the oil molecules, allowing the fragrance to diffuse throughout the room.
