Nasomatto Black Afgano Perfume

I purchased this fragrance as a sample from another store and was pleasantly impressed by its scent and longevity. As a result, I decided to buy a full bottle at the makeup store, but I must say I was disappointed. The longevity lasted only about 1-2 hours, and there was hardly any sillage. It gave me the impression that it might be a counterfeit product.

I purchased a sample and was amazed by how identical it was to the fragrance from Frank Oliver's Wood Vanilla. It is ten times cheaper and equally long-lasting.

The scent is wonderful, resembling a perfume. It is strong and perfect for winter. However, I wouldn't expect women to feel this way about it. Not at all. It is completely masculine. Definitely not unisex.

I didn't buy it here, but I want to write that the fragrance is enchanting. It needs to be spread out, because at first you only feel the sour hemp, and then everything else. I gave this perfume to my husband as a replacement for Tom Ford Tobacco Oud Intense (which is currently impossible to buy in Ukraine). My husband is happy!

I bought this fragrance in a different store and I really liked it. The scent lasts for a whole week. So, I decided to order a full bottle here. The fragrance is nice, but not long-lasting at all. In my opinion, it seems like a regular counterfeit product, unfortunately.

I have never encountered such an unpleasant perfume in my life. It resembles a mixture of lovage and hemp. I believe that this perfume is more suitable for men from the East and for a drier, warmer climate where it would unfold completely differently.

It feels like your habit of drinking aromatic Arabica. Initially, it is vibrant, lingering, and hot. Then, this delicious smoke becomes your second skin. Unlike other heavy incense scents, it doesn't suffocate; it has a certain airy freshness. It induces addiction, and the base lingers for a long time; practically, it is a perfume for the entire day.

This perfume walks a very fine line - you will either love it or hate it. Personally, I love it. It has a rich, enveloping scent that is very long-lasting with a lingering trail. It is definitely a perfume, not just a scented water, so if you don't want to overpower someone, it's best to stick to just one spray. The fragrance maintains its integrity throughout and only towards the end does it lose the notes of cannabis, leaving the wood, tobacco, and smoke to dominate. I highly recommend it.

These perfumes are luxurious. My husband is delighted with them. They are very long-lasting. They have various notes that unfold beautifully. Even after washing, clothes still smell wonderful.

Definitely, it's necessary to test it before buying, both on a blotter and on the skin. In my case, it's cannabis and nothing else, a very distinct aroma of hemp, intense, suffocating. Thank you for the makeup gift.

The original perfume passes all authenticity checks. The box is made of thin cardboard (black, matte) with inscriptions on all sides, including expiration date, certification, and batch code (laser engraved). There is a sticker on the back of the inner part. The lid is made of wood with a natural non-linear wooden pattern. The sprayer is black, with the brand name and batch number in the center of the bottom.

As for the fragrance itself, at the start, you can clearly smell fresh cannabis (thought it was just my imagination, but it is distinct). Then, woody notes and resinous aromas with hints of agarwood come into play.

The scent is unique and unmistakable. I recommend testing it before purchasing.

This fragrance fills up the entire space, making it impossible to escape or hide from it. Sometimes it feels like it will suffocate you with its intensity. Even if you apply just a drop of Afghan, you will have to carry this burden on yourself all day. It cannot be washed off or wiped away. On me, it opens up sweet and even cloying for the first couple of hours, then I can barely smell it, but others can. Even clothes smell like it even after washing. It's not suitable for the office (my colleague would open the windows every time I wore Afghan), it's unique and requires a special mood. It's not something you reach for every day. Given to me by my husband in December, the bottle is almost full. But it definitely has a place in your collection for when you want to be 100% yourself without the worry of people giving you puzzled looks or opening windows in your presence. As for the pyramid - try it, no other way. It transforms, behaves differently in different weather, and even seems to adapt to your different moods.

The fragrance is unisex, but it's not for everyone. Personally, I sneeze from it and can hear it everywhere, sometimes I even have to rewash my husband's clothes because I just can't stand it anymore. This concentrate is extremely long-lasting! I even thought I would get used to it if I wore it myself, but after a few days, I couldn't bear it anymore. I had to even take off the strap from my Apple Watch and my favorite bracelets. I still haven't worn them because it's been a month or two, but the smell is still there. For many people, this is a plus.

In the positive reviews, people describe some smoky notes from the joint and a mysterious aura that surrounds it. In reality, there is no smoke and nothing attractive to me. If you apply a full spray, you might feel nauseous because you can't wash it off your skin, so it's better to throw away the clothes right away.

I absolutely adore them, but only on my significant other. They give off a strong scent that I find overwhelming. It's simply out of this world, long-lasting, expensive, and has a beautiful fragrance. It just opens up so beautifully on men.

Some people dedicated entire poetic odes to it, comparing it to the saddle of a sweaty horse or the damp hold of a tobacco-filled ship. By the way, the negative reviews were equally eloquent.

Imagine my disappointment when, after applying it, I smelled a typical masculine cologne, you know, like the one on a fat guy in a 50-year-old suit. It's a generic image, nothing individual or interesting. I've already mentioned the cannabis note, I know very well how it smells when it's green, dried, or burning ;) and I didn't detect it in any form here.

I'm not an expert in perfumery, but I can usually distinguish different notes in fragrances. With this one, everything is very flat (I'm 100% sure about the originality of this perfume). I also understand that people can perceive the same fragrance differently, and I believe that it might truly impress someone. However, I would like my review to serve as a warning for those considering purchasing it, that they might experience the same thing as me, or rather, nothing at all. It happens, not everyone is left in awe by this fragrance.

P.S. I also read that Afghan was considered the coolest fragrance until 2014, then it was reformulated and lost some notes. After 2017, it was reformulated again and completely lost its former glory. Perhaps this could also be the case.

I don't understand why these reviews are so positive; personally, I wasn't very impressed with them. I didn't really like them after using them for a week. I can't say they were amazing or anything like that. The best perfume I have ever used in my 25 years of experience is Tom Ford. It is truly a premium class! Nothing compares to his perfumes today. Especially Oud Wood!

This is only for collectors! Everyone will think that you smell like cheap cologne, then like hemp, and then some other stench. And others will follow you and ask who you are. The bottle with the cap is something else, the cap is made of unusual shaped wood, perfect for a gift to someone in military uniform. It's definitely something from their element. As for a woman, it's a bit challenging, very eccentric!

The fragrance is definitely intriguing, long-lasting, and has a good sillage. One spritz is enough! However, it is definitely not suitable for the summer, as it is too heavy and intense.

I expected more. Either the new version is not the same as the original, or it is no longer fashionable to make super strong and long-lasting perfumes (respecting personal space). Alessandro Gualtieri's creativity shines through in another one of his works - Boccanera (Orto Parisi). In my opinion, it is even better than Afghan. From the same fragrance direction, I preferred Black Oud by LM Parfums and Sehr Al Kalemat (Kalemat Black) by Arabian Oud. However, everyone has different tastes. Yes, Afghan is, I believe, a more masculine scent than feminine.
